This Privacy Policy describes how Local 1245 treats the personal information we collect through the Local 1245 website, microsites, Facebook page(s), online petitions, or other Local 1245 online activity (collectively the Website”) and what we do with that information.  By using or accessing the Website, you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Policy. How, When, and Why We Collect Information:

• Activity That Doesn’t Require Registration: You can view content on the Website without registering or providing any personal information. In addition, we may use a session” cookie to identify you while you are on the Website, if cookies are enabled on your computer. • Mailing list: You may provide us with your personal email address if you wish to join our email list(s). You can unsubscribe from any of our email lists at any time. • The personal information that Local 1245 collects on the Website helps us to efficiently and effectively represent our members, to pursue our advocacy agenda, and to provide valuable member benefits.  In order to advance these goals and activities, we may share the personal information that we collect about you with the IBEW International Office, as well as third parties that perform services on our behalf or in furtherance of Local 1245’s goals. Additionally, subject to applicable law, we may share the personal information that we collect about you with certain third parties that share our interests.
• We will use your email address to communicate with you about Local 1245’s activities, updates and offerings, unless you opt-out from receiving such messages. We may also use your email address for administrative purposes, such as notifying you of major Website changes, sending messages related to actions you have taken on the site or for customer service purposes. Although we hope you’ll find these communications informative and useful, if you don’t, you can always unsubscribe by following the simple instructions included in each email.
• When you send emails, photographs, information about yourself, worksites, other bargaining unit members, or other communications to us, we may retain those communications in order to process your inquiries, respond to your requests and improve our services. We may also capture this content and we may want to re-use and/or republish content you send us on our Website. By sending us content you agree that (i) Local 1245 reserves the right, but has no obligation, to use such content in any fashion and in any Local 1245 forum, online or offline; and (ii) Local 1245 has your permission to alter, condense, correct, edit, delete or change the content as we see fit at any time, without prior notice or permission.

I.          Miscellaneous

This User Agreement shall be governed by the internal substantive laws of California, without respect to its conflict of laws principles. Any claim or dispute between you and Local 1245 that arises in whole or in part from the Website shall be decided exclusively by a court of competent jurisdiction located in California. This User Agreement, together with the Privacy Policy and any other legal notices published by Local 1245 on the Website, shall constitute the entire agreement between you and Local 1245 concerning the Website and supersedes prior agreements, if any, between you and Local 1245 relating to any matter dealt with in the User Agreement. If any provision of this User Agreement is deemed invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of such provision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this User Agreement, which shall remain in full force and effect. No waiver of any term of this User Agreement shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or any other term, and Local 1245’s failure to assert any right or provision under this User Agreement shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. This User Agreement, and any rights and licenses granted hereunder, may not be transferred or assigned by you, but may be assigned by Local 1245 without restriction. This User Agreement and the rights and obligations created hereunder shall be binding upon and inure solely to the benefits of the parties hereto and their respective successors and assigns, and nothing in this Agreement, express or implied, is intended or should be construed to confer upon any other person any right, remedy or claim under or by virtue of this Agreement. You and Local 1245 agree that any cause of action arising out of or related to the Website must commence within one (1) year after the cause of action accrues. Otherwise, such cause of action is permanently barred.
